Lets consider the data in the below picture, here the price for per unit of product is $50, the quantity is 100 so the total revenue= price*quantity= $5000. The transportation cost is 15% of the total revenue and item cost is $35 per unit, so the total cost= transportation cost+item cost= $4250.
